Thank you to all who attended the inaugural TEDx North Park University!  Pictures, videos and more will follow shortly.  In the meantime, enjoy musings from the day on our blog.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less) on an array of topics.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDx North Park University, where x = independently organized TED event. At TEDx North Park University, TEDTalks, video, and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

The theme of TEDx North Park University is Shifting Paradigms defined as a change from one way of thinking to another; a sort of metamorphosis. This theme provides a broad topic base that can encompass a range of ideas and perspectives across disciplines and industries— from humanities to science to business to local and global issues.

Speakers will include North Park University students, seminarians, staff, faculty, and the wider Chicagoland community. We look forward to seeing you at this inaugural event!

TEDx North Park University will be held at North Park University in Anderson Chapel

North Park is located at 3225 W. Foster Avenue while Anderson Chapel is located at the corner of Foster Avenue and Spaulding Avenue
